I was watching Entertainment Tonight last night and realized what has been wrong with the sports in this god awful city the past 25 years. We go through too much of the same shit year after year after year and no, it’s not just the losing, which is obviously now a way of life. It’s the manner in which we lose and the way that these organizations allegedly prepare our teams to win. It’s sickening. Losing and expecting to lose has become a gigantic root that has grown larger and larger every year, working its way into the foundation of the city. It needs to be cut so the healing process can begin, and winners can grow. We can’t win because we think we’re different. We know we’re losers. It’s amazing what kind of revelations you can have from shitty Hollywood gossip shows. Like….

This was a banner week for me and my Manayunk experience. I was beginning to feel a bit disconnected with this big little town; a sort of MYK traitor if you will. Here's the thing I've got to admit: sometimes, in the winter, Manayunk loses its appeal to me. The bar scene sometimes seems a little same-old same old, the restaurants lose their flair, and the people watching just isn't as fun when its 14 degrees out with a windchill of 5. So, sitting in Bucks County Coffee with my multi-grain bagel and skim-milk latte last Sunday, I decided to pretend I was a brand new resident of Manayunk, and reclaim the excitement that originally attracted me to Main Street. I was going to plan a weekful of social events..all MYK-based.
Now, normally my friday nights consist of happy hour with the girls at the Bayou, then off to somewhere a little more scene-y, like, say the Brew Pub or Bourbon Blue. So this week, when I decided to take a step back and try some of the lesser-tried nightlife spots, I was pleasantly re-suprised.

In the dating game, I want you to win. But I fear failure. Yours. Mine. Ours.
When it comes to dating, women are judge and jury, but the testimony we hear—mostly from our hearts, but also from our Greek chorus of girlfriends—will all take place out of your earshot. The rules are unwritten (until now), but they are set in stone. Give us a really good reason, however, and we'll toss the tablets aside, along with most of our clothing and inhibitions.
We hear every message you send—intentional or not. So your attitude is nearly everything. We want you to show a certain degree of eagerness, but not desperation. We want you to believe in yourself and demonstrate why we should believe in you, too. We want you to be spontaneous, but also a man we can count on.
The list on the left will show you how to handle all the objections we might have.

The only people who shop on Main Street in Manayunk are tourists and people who love trendy, break-the-bank stores, that sell items that we, poor yuppie Yunkers, would rather spend on Red Bull and vodka drinks. I’m glad for those folks though, they keep our stores in business. Stores I’m sure many of us have never stepped foot in, but still respect as necessary to Manayunk’s décor. But still, there are some shops on Main Street that we do frequent, here is the run down on a few of the local places in our town we couldn’t do without.

Why men cheat on women is an age-old question. The reasons why men cheat on women can be varied. Nevertheless, we have compiled a list of the top ten reasons why both married and unmarried men cheat. Sometimes their reasons don’t even involve you and it’s simply an ego-based decision. Other times, reasons why men cheat can involve you and your relationship, or lack thereof.
So why do some men cheat in relationships? Almost all men know that cheating is wrong, yet many they still do it. Men will blame their reasons for cheating on their genes and their necessity to reproduce. However, aren’t we suppose to be further evolved than a chimp? Shouldn’t we be able to control our bodies through our minds and conscious decisions? Apparently not always.
Here Are the Top 10 Reasons Why Men Cheat: |

Brace yourself for more wintry weather.
Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow after he was awakened Saturday, leading the legendary groundhog to forecast six more weeks of winter.
The rodent was pulled from his stump by members of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club Inner Circle, top-hat- and tuxedo-wearing businessmen who carry out the groundhog tradition each year.
Each Feb. 2, thousands of people descend on Punxsutawney, a town of about 6,100 people about 65 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, to celebrate what had essentially been a German superstition.
