Vanity House Theatre announces the Phildelphia Premiere of Jean Racine's Phedre, translated by Paul Schmidt!
Vanity House Theatre presents Jean Racine's classical French tragedy about alienation and sexual obsession in a bare, unflinching style. The play follows the cursed heroine Phedre as her unnatural passions bring about the destruction of the royal house of Athens. Paul Schmidt reveals her story of love and moral anguish in the play's newest American translation.
